Hello world,
What
a blessing it is to be alive. I have never been so grateful for the gift of
life.
First,
we had a ton of exchanges this week. Elder Lampropoulos and I were away from
each other for 3 days. It was crazy. I got to exhange with Elder Tarbet from
Logan, UT. I also exchanged with Elder Kinvile from Rexburg, ID. They are both
awesome and we had a blast. All we really did was knock door and talk to people
on the street. Finding all day. Then I got to go up to Edinburgh and exchange
with Elder Tang. It was so fun. We GQ-ed around the city and in 1 hour we found
10 potentials! We are lucky to get 1 a day in Dumfries. But that is the
blessing of a city. We also stopped a girl headed to a Thanksgiving party and
she gave us some cookies :) they weren't very good cookies, but it's the
thought that counts! I loved talking to people in Edinburgh. They are so
willing to talk and learn.
We also crashed into a tree this week. We are fine. We were driving on a dark road and we
came to a very sharp turn we didn't know was there. We hit some mud, lost
traction, and slammed into a tree going about 45-50. There were definitely
angels protecting us. It was a miracle that we hit straight on and no other
cars were coming. We are a little shaken up and have some bruises and some
owies, but we are doing okay. However, the
car was totaled and we kind of went into shock. My mind couldn't process what
had just happened. It was so scary. I remember we stumbled out of the car and I
just fell to my knees because I was shocked, scared, and we didn't know where
we were. Elder Lampropoulos pulled me away from the car because he thought it
was going to explode.
We
called the Mission President, and he was so loving and tried to calm us down, and then gave the phone to someone who could help us sort out the crash. Right then a
member pulled up and got out of her car. Both of us looked at the other and
asked "Did you call her?", which was dumb because I was holding the phone.
She used to be a police officer and was so prepared to help us and was a real
angel in a scary time. We are so thankful that she listened to the spirit
prompting her subtly that she needed to drive a certain way home. We were
definitely protected by angels on both sides of the veil. We have been so
blessed with many miracles. We also are humbled to know what it feels like to
not have a car.
That
is really all for this week. Sorry there isn't more. We are going to the
doctors this week to sort out all that has happened. We are in a little bit of
pain, but don't worry. We are okay.
The
Lord is my Shepherd.
