A Wonderful baptism

Sorry! No time! We have to drive and help a family who had some flooding at their house, so this will be short.

Faye's baptism was beautiful! It was so amazing and the Spirit was so strong. Elder Lampropoulos gave such an amazing confirmation prayer and blessing. He is such a great missionary. I am very blessed to get to serve with him. We are staying together in Dumfries for 7 more weeks. That is quite a long time to be in an area (7 1/2 months) and a long time to be with a companion (6 months). But we are lucky that we love each other and work hard and well together.

Faye's scriptures came and she absolutely loved them. Thank you so much! I have written down what my guesses were to all the presents, and I will tell you if I was right. I think some were right. I guessed the Vocal Point CD and I am pretty sure there is some Burt's bees chapstick. I have some other guesses but I will save that for later.

We had a 70 visit the mission. It was Elder Kearon. He is amazing. He is so spiritual and so funny.

President Donaldson came down to our baptism. They haven't had a baptism here for 6 years I think. We are very excited. I love this gospel and I love this work. I am grateful to be on my mission.

Faye is so special. No one but her, Heavenly Father and the Saviour know how hard she has had to work to get to where she is. She has taught me so much. I am blessed to be a missionary. I love you!

Flooded with blessings

I have much to talk about and little time. I love you all very much and I am grateful for this glorious season we have approaching. It is a wonderful time to be able to share the gospel. Christmas is a holiday I haven't always been fond of because I feel the world has ruined it, but i love the true meaning of Christmas. Watch the new A Savior is Born video. It is amazing. I loved it so much.

We didn't have time to go to the hospital this week. So we will do that this week... maybe. It is a very busy week leading up to Faye's baptism. We are so proud of her. it has been such a blessing to know and love her and teach her. She is incredible. She is so Christ-like and has been through so much that has made her into a glorious daughter of God.

There was so much flooding this week. My rain jacket is not Scotland proof. Scotland destroys jackets. I have been soaked to the bone this whole week. It's amazing ;) I love my mission even more now.

Moves call is next week and we aren't really sure what is going to happen. It has been a great run here in Dumfries and we have loved it. But I think one of us is moving. It might be me, or him, or both. We don't really know what is going to happen.

There have been a lot of miracles this week. Faye is such a powerful woman. She is having some health issues, but she doesn't want to go to the hospital yet because she wants to be baptized this week. We told her that we can postpone it for her, and she told us that she wants us to be there, so she is going ahead with her baptism. She truly is a blessing in our lives. I am very grateful that I know her.

I love you all!

Keep Fighting the Good Fight.

Protection and Miracles - How grateful I am for life

Hello world,

What a blessing it is to be alive. I have never been so grateful for the gift of life.

First, we had a ton of exchanges this week. Elder Lampropoulos and I were away from each other for 3 days. It was crazy. I got to exhange with Elder Tarbet from Logan, UT. I also exchanged with Elder Kinvile from Rexburg, ID. They are both awesome and we had a blast. All we really did was knock door and talk to people on the street. Finding all day. Then I got to go up to Edinburgh and exchange with Elder Tang. It was so fun. We GQ-ed around the city and in 1 hour we found 10 potentials! We are lucky to get 1 a day in Dumfries. But that is the blessing of a city. We also stopped a girl headed to a Thanksgiving party and she gave us some cookies :) they weren't very good cookies, but it's the thought that counts! I loved talking to people in Edinburgh. They are so willing to talk and learn.

We also crashed into a tree this week. We are fine. We were driving on a dark road and we came to a very sharp turn we didn't know was there. We hit some mud, lost traction, and slammed into a tree going about 45-50. There were definitely angels protecting us. It was a miracle that we hit straight on and no other cars were coming. We are a little shaken up and have some bruises and some owies, but we are doing okay. However, the car was totaled and we kind of went into shock. My mind couldn't process what had just happened. It was so scary. I remember we stumbled out of the car and I just fell to my knees because I was shocked, scared, and we didn't know where we were. Elder Lampropoulos pulled me away from the car because he thought it was going to explode.

We called the Mission President, and he was so loving and tried to calm us down, and then gave the phone to someone who could help us sort out the crash. Right then a member pulled up and got out of her car. Both of us looked at the other and asked "Did you call her?", which was dumb because I was holding the phone. She used to be a police officer and was so prepared to help us and was a real angel in a scary time. We are so thankful that she listened to the spirit prompting her subtly that she needed to drive a certain way home. We were definitely protected by angels on both sides of the veil. We have been so blessed with many miracles. We also are humbled to know what it feels like to not have a car.

That is really all for this week. Sorry there isn't more. We are going to the doctors this week to sort out all that has happened. We are in a little bit of pain, but don't worry. We are okay.

The Lord is my Shepherd.
